I dreamed that I was in a new school with a new set of people around me. I was scared because I'm autistic and there were people that did not know how to handle my needs. I went to the library to get away from the noise of the day. The centre of the library opened up and a circular set of bookshelf ascended from the hole. At different heights of the bookshelf there were fake books that had deadly lasers built in. The lasers started to fire and the bookshelf started to rotate. I had to navigate the library without getting hit, yet had to look like nothing was wrong because no one else saw it.
This dream could reflect your feelings of being misunderstood or out of place in certain social situations. The library in the dream serves as a sanctuary, a place where you can retreat and find solace from the overwhelming external stimuli.
The circular bookshelf with deadly lasers may symbolize the hidden dangers or obstacles you perceive in navigating unfamiliar social environments. The rotating bookshelf represents the constant and unpredictable challenges you face in trying to fit in or be accepted by others. Navigating the library without getting hit by the lasers while pretending that nothing is wrong suggests the immense pressure you might feel to hide or downplay your unique needs and difficulties, as if no one else truly understands the struggles you face.
Overall, this dream may signify your fears, concerns, and challenges surrounding social acceptance and inclusion in new environments. It is important to address these fears and find supportive communities and individuals who can better understand and accommodate your needs.
